IntakePerformance by Instone Nutrition is one of the newest protein shakes to hit the sports supplement market. When picking a protein shake for your supplementation diet, taste can become a major factor in which one you decide to use. IntakePerformance has two flavors, vanilla spice and smooth chocolate, that both taste very good. This protein is a great option for people who are trying to lean out on a low carb diet because it has only 7 net carbs per serving. Because of the low carb/high protein formula and the fast release and slow release proteins that are in IntakePerformance, it is an ideal protein to take before bedtime. IntakePerformance is available in a box of 20 single serving packets.
IntakePerformance vs. the competition
IntakePerformance has a pretty good formula however for the price, $36.99 per box, there are several other proteins that you might want to look at first. If you are looking for a very simple, effective and affordable protein formula Optimum Nutrition’s 100% Whey Protein is great option and has a moderate taste. If taste is your main concern then nothing beats Muscle Milk by Cytosport. Another product that is effective is Nitro Tech by MuscleTech. Nitro Tech is moderately priced and the taste is not that bad. My favorite is Muscle Milk. The taste of Muscle Milk is so good, I actually find myself looking forward to taking the shake. I drink 1 shake in the morning and 1 shake after my workout. For a bed time shake I take the Optimum Nutrition Whey because it’s extremely low in carbs (3grams). IntakePerformance isn’t bad but I believe that there are much less expensive better tasting protein shakes out there.
